Children’s Care PC Lock (Daily Limit)

Children’s Care also allows parents to manage PC locks settings which can be modified as per school days (Monday – Friday) or weekends (Saturday and Sunday) computer use.

It provides 3 interval variations which allow computer usage. Just like in the illustration. You can allow your kids, on the first interval, to use the computer from 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM. Next interval will be from 6:30 PM till 7:30 PM. So break time will be 1 hr where here you can impose them to do their homework or other sports activities. For instances of holidays you can alter the system and check the option bar to as “No limit”, if you would like your children to enjoy whole day computer time.

You may also choose to limit your children’s daily computer usage by just entering the desired number of time. Just like in the illustration. The “Limit daily PC operation time up” is set to 2 hrs. Here the breaks are not included and Children’s Care will only count the time the PC is unlocked. The computer will remain lock once the time has been exceeded unless it is manually unlock and full computer operation will resume the next day.

Sound Alerts

For break times, Children’s Care has unique features that can remind or alert your children of the incoming breaks. Parents can opt to place a sound alert to be played 2 min before the break time which can be essential if your children are playing computer or internet games. If the option is not selected; nonetheless, a sand clock will still appear to remind or alert your children of the incoming break.

For PC locks, when the time limit is reached or if the computer is used on restricted hours, a reminder will appear 5 min before the computer will be locked. If the sound feature is selected, a sound alert will also warn your children of the incoming PC lock. For instances where your children always whining when the computer will be used again, parents may opt to enable sound alerts when break time or PC lock is over.

If your children are listening to music, Children’s Care can still allow your children to listen to the music during break time or PC lock. This feature can also be hindered once you enable the task option to mute all Windows sound during break and PC lock.

Personalized Messages on Reminder Panel and Backgrounds

Once computer is lock during break time, Children’s Care will display screen savers backgrounds of cartoon characters that promotes different kind of sports like basketball, soccer, biking, and many more. These backgrounds also encourages proper attitude towards nature. You may also choose your own screen saver background from any of your JPG images.

You may also create your reminder messages with a personal touch. If you want to build a stronger bond with your children, you can use their nicknames or whatever unique message style you can make. When you remind them of your computer posture for instance, you can say “How is your back?” or “Hey Sugar, please sit up straight or else you will not get any dessert tonight”. If you have older children and you probably thing this might sound a little bit clichéd for them, you may disable these features but the animated cartoon reminders will still appear not unless you disable them too.
